Project overview

E&L Enterprises was engaged to fabricate and install a series of pedestrian bridges connecting the four towers at the Quad Central business complex. The project involved the construction of nine steel pedestrian bridges designed to provide safe and efficient connectivity between the towers while meeting strict durability and performance requirements.

With a steel tonnage of approximately 210 tonnes, the works required precise fabrication, advanced surface protection, and carefully coordinated installation within an active commercial environment.

Structural fabrication

E&L was responsible for the fabrication of all steel bridge components, produced to meet the structural and dimensional requirements of the project. Each bridge element was manufactured to ensure accurate alignment, structural integrity, and compatibility with the adjoining buildings.

The fabrication process focused on precision and consistency to support efficient installation and long-term performance.

Surface protection and durability

Given the exposed nature of the pedestrian bridges, surface protection was a critical element of the project. All steel components underwent blasting followed by metallising and the application of a C5 corrosion class paint system.

This high specification coating system was selected to provide long-term corrosion resistance and durability, ensuring the bridges perform reliably under environmental exposure and daily use.

Installation and coordination

E&L also carried out the installation of the pedestrian bridges, coordinating closely with site teams to manage lifting operations and alignment within the constrained urban setting of the business complex.

Installation activities were carefully planned and sequenced to ensure safety, accuracy, and minimal disruption to surrounding operations.

The completed pedestrian bridges provide a durable and visually integrated connection between the Quad Towers, supporting safe movement throughout the business complex.
